Baggage Fees and Allowance

Your baggage fees and allowance depends on your airline and the type of flight you have booked.

  • Log in to your account and select your itinerary.
  • Click on the ‘Additional Fees’ link and you will be able to view your information.

  • You can view your flight booking confirmation.
  • You can select the ‘Additional Fees’ link in the ‘Additional Flight Services’ section.

You can contact your airline directly for more information about checked baggage inclusions, carry-on allowances, additional baggage fees, prohibited item, oversize baggage policies, sports equipment, accessibility availability and access.

Easy online booking
Easy online booking

Book a flight on Booking Ace either online or over the phone. You can book the following flights on Booking Ace -

  • Roundtrip Flight - They make your return to the same airport you have departed from.
  • One-way Flight - They take you from one location to another location.
  • Multiple Destination Flights - They allow you to visit multiple destinations during your trip.
Things you must know
  • Charter fares may be available for a round trip or one-way flights.
  • One-way flights are not available with a vacation package.
Unaccompanied minors on flights

Many airlines welcome unaccompanied minors on their flights. However, Booking Ace does not book flights for unaccompanied minors under age 18.

Things you must know
  • Some airlines may charge a fee for an unaccompanied minor.
  • The children under 5 years and minors over 17 years might be ineligible for unaccompanied minor service.
  • You must provide all information to the airline in advance with the contact details of the adult meeting at the child at the final destination.
  • The adults are required to show identity card while dropping and picking from the airport.

Book a multiple-destination flight
What to do
  • Go to Booking Ace page and select 'Multiple Destination’ from the search form.
  • You can enter your destinations and select 'Search’.
Things you must know
  • Make sure you log in before you book.
  • Your entire trip is considered as one itinerary.
Military and bereavement fares

Booking Ace does not offer flight discounts for military personnel or bereavement travel, but we do offer special deals on airfares that may save you money than military or bereavement fares offered by airlines.

You can ask the airlines directly for any special discounts, but make sure to compare the fares with Booking Ace.

Flying with children
Ticket requirement for children

You do not require to book a separate ticket for a child if the following is true -

  • You book a domestic flight.
  • Children are infants (less than 2 years old) at the time of the flight's departure.
  • The infant does not require a separate seat.
  • Only one infant is allowed against each traveller.

You will have to book a separate ticket for a child if any of the following is true -

  • You book an international flight.
  • The children are 2 years or older at the time of departure.
  • Children require their own seat.

The airline policy states that one traveller who meets the airline's minimum age requirement may accompany up to 2 infants and each infant must be seated in their own seat.

Discounts on fare for children

Some airlines do offer discounts on airfare for children and the availability of discounts can depend on your selected flight, seat availability and the traveller's age.

You can select the number and ages of children flying when you search for the flight. The discounted airfare is included in your search results.

Documents required for Children
  • For domestic flights, a picture ID of your child will be required.
  • In the case of international flights, a valid passport will be required for children of all ages.
  • Children travelling without parents will require to provide documentation and letter of permission to enter another country. You can confirm your specific document requirements with your destination's embassy.

Accessibility on Flights
Special Booking

While booking a flight on Booking Ace, you can request special assistance, such as help boarding and deplaning, use of a wheelchair, or accommodation for a service animal.

To request special assistance-

  1. Log in to your account and you can  'Select’ your flights.
  2. On the 'Traveler Info’ page, you can expand the 'Special Assistance’ section for each traveller who requires assistance.
  3. From the 'Special Assistance’ drop-down, you can select the type of assistance, as per your requirement.

Feel free to contact your airline to confirm your request for each segment of your trip, right after booking and prior to your travelling dates.

Disability Seats

Some airlines reserve certain seats for travellers who need special assistance. The disability seats are usually located toward the front of the cabin and it features movable armrests and additional legroom.

You can request a disability seat -

  1. Log in to your account and then select your flights.
  2. On the page, expand the 'Seat Preference’ section and you can select a specified seat.
  3. Choose the option of a disability seat on the seat map for your flight.

You can contact your airline to confirm your seat selection for each segment of your trip after booking and prior to your travel.

Pets on flights
Travel Requirements

If you are travelling with your pet, you can contact the airline to make a reservation for them. Your airline might require your pet to have a license number, recent certificate of good health, and rabies vaccination certificate (if travelling internationally).

Size and restrictions in the number
  • The airlines limit the number and size of pets allowed to travel in the cabin. You can usually carry on small pets, provided they fit under the seat in front of you.
  • The airlines restrict the number of animals travelling in cargo, depending on the aircraft and weather. Most airlines impose fees for pets travelling in the cabin or in cargo.

  • Booking Ace can only pass your requests to the airline but cannot guarantee that all requests will be honoured.
  • The availability may depend on the aircraft, the airline's policies or the specific needs of the traveller.
Cancel your flight
Cancel your flight

You can cancel your flight booking online. In case you can cancel within 24 hours of booking, there are no penalty fees.

If you cancel a non-refundable flight reservation, the airline will issue a flight credit for a future booking instead of a refund. You can read 'Use your flight credit,’ for more information. After cancellation, some flight reservations are not eligible for a flight credit. If you cancel the reservations, you will lose the value of your ticket.

It is advised to review the 'Airline Rules and Regulations’ part of your itinerary for any airline cancellation fees. The fees are always charged by the airline.

Follow the steps, to book your flight online -
  • Log in and view your bookings.
  • You can choose the itinerary you wish to cancel.
  • Select ‘Cancel Flight’ in 'Manage Booking.’

You need to contact the low-cost airlines so that you can directly cancel your flight.

Round-trip flights with two one-way fares

You can cancel the round trip flight by cancelling each one-way plane individually. In case your flight is operated by a low-cost airline, you can contact your airline directly.

In case, you need to cancel a flight that is a part of vacation package booking; you can read ‘Cancel your vacation package.’

Things you must know
  • If you fail to book your departing flight, the airline will automatically cancel your return flight, unless you booked a round-trip flight with two one-way fares.

Missed Flight

If you have lost your flight, you can contact your airline directly for assistance. The airlines will inform you about your next available trip. The request for a refund due to a missed flight is subject to the airline’s penalties and restrictions.

Things you must know
  • In case you fail to depart your flight, the airline will automatically cancel your return flight unless you book a roundtrip flight.
  • There can be a possibility that the flight may issue you a credit note for future booking.

Manage your low-cost airline booking

In case, if you have booked your flight on a low-cost airline, you will have to contact your airline directly to change, cancel or manage the booking. We do not have direct access to low-cost airline booking.

Many low-cost airlines offer self-service options such as Online check-in, seat selection, and baggage reservations.

Find your airline, and you can log in with your airline confirmation code. You can also call your airline directly.

Airlines Scheduling Change

Sometimes, airline initiates involuntary changes due to various factors such as adjustments to flight number, route, or departure time. In case, your airline makes changes to your flight itinerary; you will not be charged for the difference in fare.

Low-cost airlines

In case, you book your flight with a low-cost airline, such as Frontier or Spirit, you can contact the airline directly regarding any change in schedule. We do not make any changes in booking with low-cost airlines.

In case you are travelling from a low-cost airline, and the airline initiated a change to that flight, you can proceed as follows-

You can contact the low-cost airline to make the changes in your booking.

Once the changes have been confirmed with the low-cost airline, you can contact us if you require any additional changes to your trip.

Full-service airlines

In case, there is any change in schedule; we will provide you with a new flight option, corresponding to your original flight. We will get in touch with you via email or phone with details.

In case there are some schedule changes, no action is required. In other cases, you may need to take action depending upon the type of notification you receive from us.

When you receive a change notification via email
  • You can review the schedule changes and follow the directions in the email.
  • You can contact us to confirm the changes. Once the schedule change is complete, we will send you an email confirmation with the revised itinerary.
When you receive a change notification via phone

There might be a possibility that we try to get in touch with you through the phone. Once we confirm the flight changes with you and the airlines approve them, we will email you the revised itinerary.

Things you must know
  • If you have upgraded your seat, you can contact the airline directly to ensure that they have transferred over to your new flight.
  • Once the schedule change is complete, any further changes on the trip will be subject to the original ticket rules and regulations.

Online flight check-in

You can check in online as it opens 24-48 hours before your flight departs. You will require an airline confirmation code from your itinerary to check-in.

Things you must know
  • After you check in online, you can save it to your mobile phone, print your boarding pass, or pick it up from a kiosk at the airport.
  • Usually, airport check-in opens 2-3 hours before flight departure.
  • You will require a boarding pass to go through airport security. You can check with your airline for any other required documents.
  • It is advised to arrive at the airport at least 1-2 hours before your domestic flight and 3-4 hours before your international flight.
  • You can review your flight schedule and trip details by checking your itinerary.
  • You can also add passport information to your account.
  • You can also change your seat assignment.

What to do

You can log in to your account and select your itinerary.

In case you have booked without signing in, you can enter your email address and itinerary number, and select ‘Find Itinerary.’

If you forgot your itinerary number, you can enter your email address and select ‘Send Itinerary.’

 

Flight Payment Options
Pay Online

You can pay online with a debit or credit card while booking your flight. Booking Ace does not accept deposit or instalment payments.

You cannot divide your payment between multiple credit cards.

What to do
  • Log in to your account and save your itinerary receipt.
  • You can view your confirmation email.
  • If you have booked without signing in, you can go to ‘Find your itinerary’ and in case you forgot your itinerary number, go to ‘Forgot your itinerary number’ and retrieve your itinerary number.

There can be a possibility that you are unable to see your itinerary and that could be because you booked without signing in.

  • For boarding pass information and other check-in details, read 'Check-in’.
  • For information about your seat selection, you can read ‘Manage your seat.’
  • For information on baggage, you can read ‘flight baggage fees and allowances’.
  • To make special requests, such as meals or a wheelchair, please contact the airline directly. If you made changes over the phone or directly with the airline, the changes would not appear in your itinerary. You can refer the airline’s website.

You can choose your seats while booking the flights. We will send your seat selection at the time of booking, but we cannot guarantee the seat assignment.

You can access your seat assignment for your flights in your itinerary or when you view your flight booking confirmation.

Your seat is confirmed, in case-
  • While booking you have paid for a seat upgrade.

Your seat selection is not confirmed, in case
  • You have booked with a low-cost airline.
  • You have booked your flight with an airline that assigns a seat at the gate.
  • You have not paid for your seat at the time of booking.

In case if you have already completed your booking and you wish to change your seat, you can contact the airline directly. You may require the airline confirmation code from your itinerary.
